Description

Ken follows his high school crush Yumin from Japan to Korea (wut) where she starts working as a police officer. Ken on the other hand becomes a gang-boss and as the story progresses he works himself through the gritty world of organized crime, while staying Pineda, Rafael (November 19, 2015). "Kadokawa's English BookWalker App Adds 35 Manga Volumes from Shonengahosha". Anime News Network. Archived from the original on March 5, 2023 . Retrieved July 18, 2023. It's basically so incredibly sexist that the escapism value disappears completely. There is no dignity for any female character in this story. None at all. Not even through the art quality.

Defeat Means Friendship: Ken employs many of his past opponents into his gang, knowing they were good people who happened to work for his enemies. This is, however, completely averted in his stand against the White Dragon Clan. He and his allies kill everyone they can, with Ken later stating he finds them unredeemable. This dark turn of events highlighted when Ken seemingly kills a guy who was a misguided fool manipulated by a false friend... until it turns out Ken did spare him after all. I may be harsh but it's hard to enjoy something when its main purpose entails creating different scenarios in which to draw women being abused sexually is as many ways possible, annnd good 'ol brawl. Especially when you're only there for one of the two (hint: it's the last one), and that one is executed poorly. Overall, this is a fun manga, but far from a masterpiece. whether you will enjoy it or not is a matter of perspective. if you want some cool stuff and not overthinking things like I used to do, not complicating, just enjoy this manga, then I recommend it. CHARACTERS: I talked previously about them but basically, the main characters are good and enjoyable, the villains are dislikable yet sometimes understandable, and the women lose all personality when a man is involved. Read it because - The art is great, it has interesting facts about South Korea and its culture/history, lots of fights, a funny Italian character and Ken's eyebrows.

In 2006, he published 2 scifi oneshots: Hotel (Lucca 2011’s award for Best Oneshot) and Present, both in the magazine Morning. Along with All for the Tuna, Stephanos and Diadem, they’ll be compiled in 2008 in the Hotel tankoubon. high school delinquent as well as the main protagonist who leaves Japan in pursuit of his love, Yumin and drops out of school. While in Korea he lives his life as a shut in for a whole year being not able to locate a real occupation. After saving an old man from being killed by loan sharks, he was scouted and encouraged to join an area gang(gondal) to work under Taesoo as among his underlings. After fighting against Taesoo, he was offered the job of manager rather. He declined since he desired to join the police force alongside Yumin but Taesoo finally controls him into taking the position. His strength and awareness of justice earns him the devotion of the local community as well as his gang. Ken’s parents were killed over the course of a Yakuza war when he was 13. The character design of Ken is greatly impacted from Vash of Trigun Manga.

a magnet, he has an almost supernatural aura of main character righteousness that he seemingly indoctrinates people into good morale by beating the shit out of them. Rather than this being deus ex however, its a plot device that is observed by other characters in the story. It also doesn't hurt that Ken is an extremely likeable character. He does not always win, and he does not always lose, he is not arrogant, but he respects himself and his gang and will beat the shit out of other gangs that challenge its pride of the street. As time goes on and his gang becomes more and more of an influence in Korea, Ken's character starts to change rather drastically as well. It's cool to read is the bottom line here.A special little addition i feel that should be mentioned is Boichi's inclusion of how hard he has worked on the manga. He talks about his travels to take lots of different pictures to use as references. I feel that it is a great touch as it gives us, the readers, insight as to how a mangaka goes about working on their art. It's a real treat to see the pictures he takes and comparing them to what he draws. A wonderful aspect of the manga that most certainly should not be over looked. Author Appeal: He loves ass shots, he has an ass fetish, he even admitted so. In the non-sexual way, brunette girls and blond guys.

Manga is a Japanese manga series illustrated and written by Boichi. A year after, Ken found that Yumin had actually became an officer in Korea. Yearning to view the girl he loved, Ken dropped out of high school become an officer just like Yumin and so that you can go to Korea. Though Ken was able to go to Korea, he found himself unable to become an officer and instead became a poor Shut in with occupation or no cash. From being mistreated with a bunch gang members after helping an old man, he was scouted by the head of a nearby gang headed by Tae-Soo Park who made him the manager that was new personality. Every single female characters! There is no exception! This genre is spoils their personality and the only interesting thing about them is their breast, and sometimes they give blowjob to our mc. But let me tell you the basic setting of the story. Protagonist Journey To Anti-Villain: Initially, Ken is okay with having a small gang that can pass as posers thinking way too big. As time goes on, Ken's influence actually creates a parallel state, he becomes a criminal big shot by owning corrupt Casinos, idol agencies and real estate companies. That's the point where where Ken starts doubting himself, being noticeably careless about rivals trying to destroy or seize his empire, as he thinks it could be for the best. Bleached Underpants: Subverted completely! The guy doesn't hide the fact that he did porn, even in a fan AMA, he said he'd like to work at it again! The first one being the art, this is probably the best drawn manga i have ever read, there is so much detail and it looks so realistic. You can clearly see the author put a lot of effort and did a lot of research regarding locations and fighting movements, in fact at the end of some chapters you get additional information on how they drew a specific scene. The fights are incredible well drawn and are very engaging, the shots of Seoul are incredible well done hell even the food is drawn with an incredible amount of detail. In several ocasions I have found myself hungry because of that.Art 10 - I genuinely do not believe words can define the magnificence of Boichi's art! The art is of the same caliber as Takehiko Inoue's Vagabond, Shin Ichi Sakamoto's Innocent, Tomo Takeuchi's Ballroom E Youkoso, or Kentaro Miura's Berserk. Body anatomy is superb, and the detail is unparalleled!

Sherman, Jennifer (April 17, 2020). " 'Manga Planet' Manga Subscription Service Adds to 4 Shonengahosha Titles". Anime News Network. Archived from the original on May 29, 2023 . Retrieved July 18, 2023.So the main protagonist decides to confess his love to his classmate, Yumi. She rejected him, because she wants to go to South Korea to become a police officer. As he heard her dream, he decides to go after her, and with some incidents he happened to become a leader of a gang. Expy: Ken is Vash The Stampede as a mafioso, he even shares his idealism, it's an interesting case, as both Boichi and Yasuhiro Nightow are friends, and Boichi drew Trigun: The Lost Plant, a one shot set 6 years after the ending of the original manga. He moved to Japan in 2004 and stepped into the world of Japanese manga with Space Chef Caisar published in the monthly Comic Gum. Since then he has published many manga and one-shots. Armor-Piercing Question: When the leader of the White Dragon Clan is finally cornered by Ken, he asks him what drove him to this confrontation. Ken replies that despite any morally questionable actions he may have done on his way, he honestly wants to protect the good, helpless people because he understands their plight. The problem comes when the man then asks his daughter why she came to destroy his empire and kill him. In a twist of Diabolus ex Machina proportions, Yumin realizes she wants to take over the White Dragon Clan and blasts Ken out of the building.
