About this deal

In theory you want to acquire five or more of the same set as you can then get more tokens as well as a more valuable bonus token. The selling aspect of the game is also pretty typical of the genre as collecting more cards of a set always gives you a greater benefit as that is what the whole genre is built around.

Giving you three different ways of taking cards is kind of unique even though there have been similar mechanics in other games. You can try to minimize this by making moves that prevent too many cards from being revealed for the next player’s turn. To help you navigate this mercantile maze, it’s possible to take multiple cards without revealing any new ones from the deck. To start, players draw cards from a common row that contains both materials (diamonds, gold, silver, cloth, spice, leather) and camels (essentially a less-valuable commodity that you can use for strategic purposes).

Kill the round early – If you suspect you are in the lead, consider forcing the end of the round by depleting three stacks or emptying the market deck.

While overall it worked smoothly, I did find that at times things became a bit stuck because both players don’t want to pick up and reveal other cards, which can be a bit grueling.I'm really liking this game so far but it's really frustrating that the computer can make a move by exchanging cards when it's hand is full, but I can't? Because Jaipur is strictly a two player card game, and you’re always working with the same resources, you’re always reacting to what your opponent is doing.

JAIPUR Game Rules - How To Play JAIPUR

There’s a surprising number of strategies in Jaipur, and you’ll find yourself trying out new approaches as you gain experience – while also learning to respond to an opponent’s style. It’s very easy to explain and super quick to play, but there’s much deeper strategy here than you might first assume – though with a crucial element of luck which means a less serious player still has a chance to triumph.fix it or the game is useless, what makes games fun is when there is a level playing field and you actually feel like you're actions are making the difference. I am for keeping track of what has been picked up, but 99% of the time the opponent will play against your starting hand rather than picking up an obvious card. If you take a card from the market in the middle then you’re also taking a risk: that when its replacement gets drawn could be a high-value card for your opponent to grab.

Jaipur board game review: the essential two-player game | T3

That’s partly due to the game’s absurd tone, but also because of the small touches in its design that flesh out the world and make the player comfortable within the confrontation. You do this by collecting sets of commodities using cards from the common market, then trading them in for rupees.Jaipur is a two player set collection game in which players are competing to become the greatest trader in the land. Players select building cards and either build them in their city, discard them to earn coins, or use them to construct a wonder. Each building or wonder in your city not only earns you points or gold but also provides resources that make it easier for you to build more and more complex buildings, which earns you even more points and gold.
