I looove that Nikolai doesn’t want Amara to be a weak person. He wants to build her and have her be strong

I also didn't feel much for the hero as he didn't seem to have much personality except for being 👏HORNY👏. but little does she know that her psycho husband was obsessed at first glance and was gonna treat her like his queen😫🦋💍 This book has some of my favorite tropes: Age Gap, Arranged Marriage, Mafia, Alpha Male, and a few others. It is also a trademark Jenika Snow naughty book and has a lot of her spicy content that we all love. (You can find a list of these in her Content warnings.) Amara knew her fate would always be marrying for the family but that did not make it easier. When the time finally came and a mafia boss was chosen for her, she was scared for what her life would be like. With Nicolai who was her fiance, and his horrific tales of murder and torture, she was convinced her life would be painful and humiliating. That is until she met her husband. A man as ruthless as he was pretty, and the only one she could see herself falling for. But there was no happy ending for her. Men like Nicolai didn't love their wives. She had only one purpose and that was to give him a family but that did not stop her from hoping for more. Sasha Leone will take you deep into the Dark, twisted, and depraved world of the Mafia. The main character is Gabriel Reca, a 25 year old young man who was groomed from a young age to live in the cruel world of the Mafia by his adopted father. His obsession is Bianca Byrne, 21 year old Mafia princess who had led a sheltered life, yet far from innocence. Gabriel and Bianca have a love/hate relationship which developed when they were in Westwood High School. Even though they have been out of school for years, the animosity remains and slowly sizzles.The book opens up with a scene that includes Arlo (Cold-Hearted Bastard 😍), Nikolai and Dmitry negotiating with Arlo to get rid of their toxic father. When it comes to horrible fathers, the brothers know what it’s like to have one. And so does Amara😒. From his reputation, it’s understandable why Amara Bianchi was terrified of her soon to be husband through an arranged marriage. I bow down to you Jenika Snow for such a spicy and delicious story! We met Nikolai in Arlo's book and the glimpses we get of him lead the reader to believe he is going to be a crazy one. He does not disappoint. The man is a ruthless killer that holds onto his reputation and status with an iron fist. There are very few people he cares about and when he enters into an arranged marriage to bring two sides together, he sees it as a means to an end. Little does he know that when he sees his betrothed for the first time she becomes everything to him and he would do anything to keep her safe and ONLY his. Nikolai Petrov, known to be a sociopath and for killing anyone for the smallest infraction. And I'd be forever tied to him, an accessory he could use or dispose of any way he saw fit.

Can almost see how this series will arc. Three part mafia ruling families spanning the nation. Next book will feature secondary characters from this books mc interactions, specifically the female friend/enemy. Third book will focus on the male friend/enemy with each falling for the leader or next in line of ruling mafia families and end up leading a branch. Then they will unite to defeat their common enemy who was introduced as a father figure in this book whom they turned against when they realized he was power hungry and didn’t care about them. There is something just so consumable about Jenika Snow books- how the insane chemistry and insta love blossoms into an addictive romance. She has a keen ability to right dark and dangerous men that would die for their ladies- swoony only when it comes to their women. And Nikolai Petrov is the perfect alpha psycho boyfriend- a ruthless and terrifying mafioso manipulating his world just how he likes it for the power and legacy of his family….and this includes an arranged marriage with young and innocent Amara and a delicate truce with her family. something very surprising and refreshing was that they didn’t have sex on their first night and when eventually did, well it wasn’t gentle or sweet or slow😌🥵🔥 While Ruthless Heir is undeniably a steamy and intense romance, it also explores deeper themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the transformative power of love. Leone’s writing style is evocative, drawing readers into the characters’ emotions and making them feel every moment of their journey.

OW? the H has a bachelor party. There’s strippers/prostitutes around😐. The men that are there partake in it all. The H ends up leaving (a woman goes up to him. He shakes his head at her). He’s not interested and doesn’t wanna be there I have to say the Nikolai is probably one of the best book husbands I’ve read about in quite some time. His reputation is understandably absolutely terrifying but Amara being his wife, he treated her like an absolute queen. Took the time to care for her, yet was ruthless to anyone that even looked at her wrong.

And then I found myself painted red, my wedding dress stained in blood. A man dead by my husband's hands for simply touching my hair. Jenika Snow honestly gives out the best heroes ever! Like they are truly so intimidating and hot as hell. I could just grab Nicolai from this book and keep him lmao. Their intensity is off the charts and that's what kept me hooked throughout this whole book. I read this in one sitting. There are no slow parts. There is high drama, tons of spice, and a plot twist at the end that I did not see coming. There is so much angst in this story. So much has been kept from the H, secrets his allies refuse to tell him, but the more he discovers on his own, the more he begins to wonder if what he's been told is true or not. Like the H, you begin to wonder who are the real enemies and who are the ones he should trust. The not knowing as well as the situations they both get into leaves you on pins and needles throughout most of this book. a proper ending. The ending was rushed! We get a sort-of epilogue after the end of the book, but it ends so abruptly (for me). Then we get a chapter for the next book. Like… 🤔 what happened?? 😭😭😭 where’s my proper HEA 😩. Where are the babies I want them to have? 😭 lol I’m sure it’s like this because we’re going to get Dmitry and Claudia’s book and we’ll see them there, but stillllll 😐😭 You touched her.” Nikolai stopped and looked down at his knife, smoothed a finger over the blade. “And for every mark you left on her body, I’m going to cut into you, take a piece from you.” This book read so fast! I gobbled it down. I wanted to protect Amara at all costs and when she is given to Nikolas... she doesn't know what to expect, but it is so much more than she ever expected for herself. I had a great time and read it all in one sitting. If you like easy mafia-arranged marriage stories but like the darkness to be because of the world rather than the romance itself then this is the one for you. Nikolai treats Amara like a princess unless it’s time to get their freak on then she’s his little doll.

Nikolai likes to eat a nutritious breakfast 😋. Love me a man that isn’t afraid of eating a hearty breakfast 😮‍💨🥵 This was an easy simple read with little angst the romance itself wasn’t that dark these two liked it rather rough but their connection together was sweet if you discount the fact that Nikolai will take anyone apart who dares even look at his wife sideways. He doesn’t change and Amara accepts him for exactly who he is. This did feel authentic as this is the only life she’s ever known so to her it’s all relatively normal and Nikolai does treat her like his treasure. No one brings the sizzle quite like Jenika Snow! The dark, dirty talking alpha, the mafia danger, the panty melting chemistry, and a newly empowered heroine. Jenika always so perfectly marries the swoony and the smutty- and I gobbled this one right up! Gabriel Corso: The epitome of a dark and brooding hero, Gabriel is a sinfully attractive mafia prince. With a troubled past and a ruthless demeanor, he evokes both fear and desire in equal measure. As the story unfolds, readers will uncover the layers beneath his hardened exterior and witness his transformation in the face of unexpected love. As soon as Nikolai makes the deal to marry Amara, he becomes invested. He sees her and wants her. So he does what any normal man does… he stalks her 👀
