About this deal

The meditation thing was a good idea, I just wish it got further. They decided to throw it away to make Riverstar more unconfident and easy to compare with Arc: Arc is chill because he meditates, Riverstar is insecure because he doesn't. Brambleclaw • Feathertail • Stormfur • Squirrelflight • Crowfeather • Tawnypelt • Leafpool • Hawkfrost • Mothwing It was my destiny to be here, just as it is your destiny to be beside the river. I must be the one to give you your last life, and with it, you will change the lives of so many others. Firestar's Quest • Bluestar's Prophecy • SkyClan's Destiny • Crookedstar's Promise • Yellowfang's Secret • Tallstar's Revenge • Bramblestar's Storm • Moth Flight's Vision • Hawkwing's Journey • Tigerheart's Shadow • Crowfeather's Trial • Squirrelflight's Hope • Graystripe's Vow • Leopardstar's Honor • Onestar's Confession • Riverstar's Home • Ivypool's Heart • Super Edition 18 Shadowstar: " We are prepared. But I have to tell you something. This is my last life. I want you to know that you are the right cat to lead this Clan."

Now, I really am exited for Riverstar’s Home. There is only ONE, (Bonus Scene, at that) telling of his origin (It’s in Thunder Rising). It tells of a park, with Twolegs in it. The Twolegs then tear down the park, and Riverstar (Ripple, at the time), flees and finds himself in a river. He finds a log in the river, and floats along it for a while. He ends up in the forest, where he meets Night, a RiverClan member, and introduces himself with a new name, River Ripple, in thanks to the river that took him there. This, however, contradicts information in Secrets of the Clans, which shows the founders of the Clans to have the "-star" suffix. [32] Also, this information is supported by Moth Flight's Vision, which shows that all leaders did, in fact, take "-star" as the suffix of their name. [9] When the Clan Founders are looking into the puddle, Shadowstar is seen hunched over beside Skystar and Thunderstar. When Riverstar states that Frostpaw is strong enough, Shadowstar asks that even if it kills her, and asks strong enough for this. Reluctant Warrior: River Ripple tries to uphold peace, but once One Eye kills one cat and steals herbs meant for others who may die without them, he knows that the only way to stop him is to kill him, and comes to accept that survival and peace must be fought for. Alderheart • Needletail • Twigbranch • Violetshine • Darktail • Tree • Rowanclaw • Tigerstar • Leafstar • Finleap

Ripple doesn't feel like the same cat after his journey down the river, so he renames himself River Ripple for the river that brought him there. All right that’s about it. Was rather disappointed in this one but it had its moments, and the meditation stuff was really cool. Maybe read if you’re a die hard Warriors fan or are super into RiverClan, but other than that you can give this one a pass.

Rainbowshine shares why they’re excited for Riverstar’s Home. Official cover art by Owen Richardson Dead Person Conversation: The spirits of the recently-deceased cats appear after the battle at The Four Trees, as well as in a dream to the leaders not long afterward. With this life, I give you initiative, so you will always lead and never follow. Even if your courage fails, your imagination will find a way to guide you. Riverstar’s personality is very calm, relaxed, and knowing. He always seems to know what will happen next. He, even during the Great Battle, seemed to be calm, and accepted what happened. He always helped the other groups (at the time), not caring that they were new to the forest.

You fought fearlessly against those rats. You have always had the courage and determination to be one of RiverClan's greatest leaders. With this life, I give you bravery. Protect your Clan with your life. Possibly, the only thing I liked in the series was Night. Her personality and connection with Riverstar was something I'm glad I didn't miss out on. Most of the time, anytime a female cat is with a male, they're suddenly mates. When a storm-tossed river sweeps Ripple away from the park he’s always known, he commits himself to the life of a peaceful loner. Still, as his new island home starts to become a sanctuary for other rogues, he can’t help but feel responsible for their safety, and for the community—and Clan—they are beginning to build. But when an old friend from the park resurfaces with terrible news just as the forest cats’ fights begin to escalate into bloodshed, the cat now known as Riverstar will have to decide which home he is truly committed to protecting: his new Clan or his old family. Clear Sky becomes mates with Star Flower after having previously fathered Thunder with another she-cat. (As we see in the other Dawn of the Clans books, Star Flower is actually his third love, after Bright Stream and then Thunder's mother Storm died.) River Ripple feels jealous that Clear Sky gets to start a second family when he never got to have kits with Flutter.

This book contains examples of the following:

There were a few things I enjoyed about this book, of course: Night and Riverstar's friendship (as opposed to his romantic relationships, which all felt extremely forced and utterly unnecessary) was surprisingly well written, and Drizzle grew a lot on me throughout the story. And yet it's easy to find things you like in a book that's otherwise full of... nothing. also Windstar and Skystar's character development still magically disappears after the point of Gray Wing's death like it does in Moth Flight's vision)

Lost Stars • The Silent Thaw • Veil of Shadows • Darkness Within • The Place of No Stars • A Light in the Mist Near and Dear" Baby Naming: Arc Shadow is named after Riverstar's parental figure, Arc. It's also possible though not explicitly stated that Ripple Shine is named after Riverstar himself, since Finch had previously promised to name one after him. I'm Quiet Rain. With this life, I give you kindness and humility. Show the compassion you show to your Clanmates to every cat you meet. Remember, you might walk in their paw steps one day and they in yours. Blurb A thrilling standalone adventure in Erin Hunter's #1 nationally bestselling Warriors series! In this Super Edition, discover the origins of the first leader of RiverClan—a mysterious cat whose desire for peace would help shape the dawn of the warrior Clans. When a storm-tossed river sweeps Ripple away from the park he's always known, he commits himself to the life of a peaceful loner. Still, as his new island home starts to become a sanctuary for other rogues, he can't help but feel responsible for their safety, and for the community—and Clan—they are beginning to build. But when an old friend from the park resurfaces with terrible news just as the forest cats' fights begin to escalate into bloodshed, the cat now known as Riverstar will have to decide which home he is truly committed to protecting: his new Clan or his old family. Join the legion of fans who have discovered the epic adventures, fierce warrior cats, and the wild fantasy world of the mega-bestselling Warriors series. This stand-alone entry is perfect for new readers and dedicated fans alike. The praise "Feeding, feuding, and fan service: sure to please the felines’ legion of followers." I used to have not much opinion on RiverClan (given, I haven't read most RiverClan oriented books such as Crookedstar's Promise). This SE changed things and I'm now quite fond of it. In fact, they might've taken WindClan's place as my favorite Clan. But that's still TBD.

He is resting. He's earned it. With this life, I give you unity, so that RiverClan may never be divided. The first half of the book, excluding a few chapters at the beginning, are simply retelling Dawn of the Clans—only certain details are changed and River Ripple's mysterious entrances are explained away so that they're no longer quite as interesting. For example, in the main series, River Ripple describes the territory as it was several seasons ago, explaining what the rogues and loners did to battle illness. But in this super edition, River Ripple spends half a year in a Twoleg nest and doesn't make the territory his home for very long before the mountain cats show up. Similarly, in the main series, River Ripple mentions a vague history with One-Eye and other rogues he's dealt with in the past; but we barely see any of that in this super edition, and the lost potential is disappointing. Why doesn't this series explore and expand upon its own canon more?
