A defect is usually thought of as worthless, but due to the highly collectible nature of LEGO and the rarity of misprints, minifigures that aren't quite perfect can fetch big sums. Not the most detailed minifigure LEGO have produced but the fact that it's Spider-Man makes it highly collectable. #8 - PS4 Spider-Man His value is probably reflected by the fact that he's not that well known in the DC universe. #19 - Arsenal

This is where it all started! The Green Lantern was the first minifigure LEGO brough to San Diego Comic Con in 2011.Marvel and Disney tried to downplay X-Men merchandise for most of the 2010s, since 20th Century Fox owned the film rights. However, before the unofficial moratorium on X-Men merchandise began, LEGO produced a small X-Men set featuring Magneto, Wolverine, and Deadpool. Perhaps expecting the long wait they'd have before they could make more mutants, LEGO's designers produced a pitch-perfect Magneto.

And here we have it, number 1 on our list is the Spider-Man from San Diego Comic Con 2013. Such a beautiful minifigure and one of Marvel's most loved characters. When Barb from Stranger Things showed up at the 2019 edition it was a nice break from the plethora of Marvel and DC characters. She was released in 2018 to help promote The LEGO Movie 2 but the fact that she isn't a real minifigure is why she is low down on this list. #24 - Unikitty Our only X-Men representative is Jean Gray in her Phoenix Costume. A lot to love about this minifigure, LEGO did a really nice job with her. #11 - The Collector

The Collector is the only character from Guardians of the Galaxy we've seen at SDCC and was brought to the 2014 edition by LEGO to promote the film release. Definitely a favourite of mine and the only minifigure of this character LEGO has produced. #10 - Zebra Batman Green arrow is a flawed minifigure in my opinion because he doesn't come with a bow and arrow piece. Adding in a custom mold makes so much sense and it's strange why LEGO decided against it. Bizarro is one of my favourite SDCC minifigures, I just love the printing on his torso and head piece. Although her value has been pretty stagnant since then that could change with the announcement of season 2 of Stranger Things. Especially if LEGO decides to make more sets to sit alongside "The Upside Down". #20 - ATOM

LEGO is renowned for its stringent quality control, but mistakes do happen in its production line. They're rare occurrences but when minifigures are involved it can lead to wrongly coloured body parts, wonky printing, or printing that is missing completely. ATOM is a surprising one for me because I expected him to be a lot further up this list. He is covered from head to toe in detail AND comes with an exclusive stand! What's not too like? At the time this was one of the most colourful and unique Batman minifigures although since then we've had some crazy designs that make Batman of Zur-En-Arrh look tame. You've probably noticed by now that anything to do with Batman and Spider-Man usually does well and this is no exception. #6 - AzogAs per the previous year there were only two minifigures in 2016 and this is the one everyone wanted to get their hands on. #12 - Jean Grey in Phoenix Costume
