With CleanMaximiser technology, green bristles turn yellow when it is time to replace your brush head Interspace: to be used on top of your daily brush head, for deep clean in hard-to-reach areas and healthier* gums
Sometimes toothpaste can build up under the brush head and solidify to quite a tight bond. Then, when the brush head is ready to be replaced, it can break when removing it to leave this piece behind. To prevent this, we recommend the cleaning and maintenance routine noted in the manual.

iO Ultimate Clean: tuft-in-tuft structure with 16 degree-angle bristles remove up to 100% more plaque for cleaner teeth and healthier gums*As one of Oral-B’s premium replacement toothbrush heads, the CrossAction features perfectly angled bristles at 16 degrees that target plaque to remove up to 100% more plaque vs. a regular manual toothbrush. Oral-B’s improved CrossAction toothbrush heads are developed with CleanMaximiser technology that turns green bristles yellow for optimal brush head performance and the best clean. The unique bristles reach deep between teeth to remove plaque and leave your whole mouth cleaner than with a regular manual toothbrush. Compatible with all Oral-B handles except Pulsonic & iO. To fix this, try running the toothbrush’s top section (around the plastic connector and metal shaft) under warm water for at least ten seconds. Then, see if you can pull the extra bit off. You might have to give it quite a forceful tug, but it should come right off. If it does, your new brush head should fit.
