Nevertheless, it’s perfectly possible to play and enjoy Avengers Monopoly even if you have never seen any of the Marvel films or read the comics. Heroes can be traded for cash, other heroes, and/or Get Out of Jail Free cards. The amount is decided by the players making the deal. Sidelined heroes can be traded at any agreed-upon price. However, if you’re looking for an exciting game that’s fun and engaging for the whole family, classic Monopoly is probably a better option. Thanos Rising is an Avengers-themed cooperative dice and card game. In it, players take on the role of iconic Marvel heroes who must recruit a team to defeat Thanos and prevent him from acquiring all six Infinity Stones. As mentioned earlier, the aim of the game is to save as many locations as you can within the Marvel Universe. Once all the villains are defeated, the player with the most power wins!

You must build evenly. You cannot build a second Base on a hero's space until you've built one on each space in the set. You can only have 4 Bases on a single space. Use the included Hero die to team up with your fellow Super Heroes and defeat powerful villains. The colorful, round gameboard, Avengers character tokens, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Villains cards, and Hero die add a different dimension to the classic Monopoly game. When you land on a hero that has not been drafted, you must draft them or auction their allegiance. Hand out the correct pieces. Each player needs one Avengers token (placed on Go), the matching superpower card; twelve location markers (matching the chosen token); and 1,500 in power. Put simply, the idea behind this all-star cast of heroes is that, when assembled, they become earth’s first line of defense against some of the evilest and powerful threats in the universe.Avengers Monopoly is recommended for children of eight years and above. There must be at least two players for the game to work, but there can be up to six. Altogether, there are twenty-eight Marvel superheroes who make up the Avengers team, including firm favorites like Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.

Villain-controlled spaces –If you can see a picture of a villain on the space, you need to save it by paying the power cost indicated on the board and placing a marker on it to show it has been saved by you. Just like in the original Monopoly, every time you pass go, you collect 200 in power. At this point, you can also reactivate your superpower if you use it. You can buy, sell, or swap heroes with other players at any time. You must sell all buildings in a color set to the Bank before you can sell or trade a hero. You cannot sell or trade buildings to another player.

Whether you loved Avengers Monopoly and are looking for something similar or you want to try something totally different, here are my suggestions. Thanos Rising: Avengers Infinity War Game of Thrones lends itself perfectly to a game of Monopoly. Choose which token you’d like to play as (The Iron Throne, Crown, Direwolf, Three-Eyed Raven, Dragon Egg, or White Walker) and battle against your opponents to win control of Westeros and sit on the Iron Throne. If you’re a fan of games like Avengers Monopoly where you are tasked with saving the world (or at least controlling its fate), but you want something a little more mature and complex, The King’s Dilemma might be for you.

Likewise, the community chest and chance cards are S.H.I.E.L.D and villains cards in this edition of the game. The board, rather than being square, is shaped like the Avengers logo, but it still has the locations around the outside like the traditional game.As you might have guessed, this version of Monopoly is best for Marvel fans who are already familiar with the Avengers and the fictional world they inhabit. However, other people who are interested in the game might be better off trying the original version of Monopoly, which has a more widespread appeal. The Monopoly: Marvel Avengers Edition game is about collecting power instead of money, and using your power to save different locations from evil villains. The traditional Chance and Community Chest cards are now S.H.I.E.L.D. and Villains cards. You collect power from other players when they land on spaces you've already saved and when you pass "Go." When the last location has been saved and all the villains are defeated, the Super Hero with the most power is the winner! If none of your rolls matches the number on the board space, you lose the battle. Pay 200 to the Bank. The highest bidder pays the Bank. If no one wants to bid, that's fine. No one pays anything, and the hero card stays with the Bank.
