It brilliantly discusses sexism, feminism, politics, assault, mental health, general questionable decisions etc etc etc. An acclaimed stand-up, law-changing feminist campaigner, and co-host of the podcast ‘Football, Feminism + Everything In Between’ - with her father, Alastair Campbell – Grace’s debut stand-up show , ‘Why I’m Never Going Into Politics’, was a total sell-out at the Edinburgh Festival. I really enjoyed this, and actually found myself nodding in agreement with some of the experiences Grace talks about.it’s definitely a funny read, although there was more about politics than shame, but i suppose that’s just because of who she is. I assumed I wouldn’t relate to her shenanigans on account of the fact she’s white and has grown up with privileges I couldn’t dream of ever having. I can honestly say I hadn’t thought too deeply about it until Campbell started pulling out examples left, right and centre. Ummmm, I don't wanna say I didn't enjoy it because there were plenty of moments that really resonated with me and also I laughed out loud at, but I duno.

But the truth is, I was in a bad place and I didn’t rate myself enough to say no to just a bit of attention.

And she’s right: Amazing Disgrace - part memoir, part-manual - is brash, candid and casually obscene, a high octane adventure that covers w**king, STDs, growing up in the shadow of “Toothy Tony” (Blair), and plenty more besides. It's great we can talk about sex, life and unhappy moments with complete honesty and realism and I really appreciated this about the book.
