About this deal

Can Andy Carpenter and his family/friends solve the case and bring this family back together for the holiday? But after Carpenter takes the sase there are some strange underworld murders and it seems as if somehow they are all related to this murder trial. Released 1st Oct 2019 by Macmillan on their Minotaur imprint, it's 352 pages and available in hardcover, ebook, and audio formats. Thank you to Joseph Brosnan at Minotaur Books and David Rosenfelt for an arc in exchange for an honest review. Regular readers will find the whole familiar gang Andy Carpenter, wife Laurie, son Ricky, and of course dogs Tara and Sebastian, all anticipating the upcoming holiday/football season.

The ending also hints at a future direction to the series and a further expansion of some series regulars. Andy urged by his wife reluctantly agrees to defend him, but to do so he must come up with an alternate suspect to raise doubts in the minds of a jury.It got her to thinking that if baseball season could last seven months, it wasn’t fair that Christmas season lasted less than half as long. It set me off on a climb up the executive ladder, culminating in my becoming President of Marketing for Tri-Star Pictures.

There are interludes of Andy at home with his family and friends, yet they avoid the over-sentimentality such interaction can bring about. Like any Christmas loving folks, Laurie's Christmas started right after Halloween and wanted to make wishes come true for a young boy looking for his dad and a retiring K-9 police officer. When Simon’s handler decides to retire, he asks Andy to file a suit allowing Simon to retire early due to disability, instead of having Simon transferred to another handler for a year. But it had fallen into terrible disrepair and wasn’t designated as a historical landmark until eight years after Kristen had breathed her last.It is appreciated when Rosenfelt acknowledges one of the great sorrows of such a death--'It also once again highlights the terrible loss that occurred when her best friend died; Kristen might have gone on to bring other people into the world or cure some disease or just do kind things for people that needed kindness. This design featuring an antler wearing dachshund is printed on high quality, textured board and is 150 x 150mm in size.

This beautifully illustrated ‘Dachshund Through the Snow' festive mug made from fine bone china produced by Royal Worcester would make a lovely gift or perfect addition to your kitchen.A policeman is retiring, but the Department insists his arthritic police dog must work another year regardless of the dog's physical condition. Our fabric is sold in multiples of 25cm lengths (1/4 metres), however if you are only purchasing 1 unit it will be cut as a fat quarter instead (50cm x 56cm), anything above 1 unit will be in multiples of 25cm x the full width of the fabric. The titular dachshund doesn't have much influence on the story and there were a few things that I thought were unconvincing (such as the idea that a letter from the deceased would remain undiscovered after so much time, and a mistake in the NFL scheduling practices, and the technological McGuffin wasn't believable, etc. DAVID ROSENFELT is the Edgar-nominated and Shamus Award-winning author of more than twenty Andy Carpenter novels, including One Dog Night , Collared , and Deck the Hounds ; its spinoff series, The K-Team; the Doug Brock thriller series, which starts with Fade to Black ; and stand-alone thrillers including Heart of a Killer and On Borrowed Time .

The series as a whole is consistently well written and entertaining, so I recommend picking up the others as you find them.Rosenfelt's books are timeless, and I hope he continues writing his witty and very endearing Andy Carpenter series well into the future. Every few years the Paterson Police ran it through the system, hoping for a match, but they were always disappointed. There is enough backstory written into the plot that it works well as a standalone volume for new readers. In her eyes, the end of Christmas has always been February 1, though she has never adequately explained the reason for that monthlong extension.
