About this deal
DeWalt DCS355 XR Brushless Oscillating Multi-Tool delivers up to 57% more run time over brushed motors. The DCS355 is equipped with a LED light, which allows illuminating the work area, making it easier to see what you are cutting. The Quick-Change accessory system allows you to change blades quickly and easily, and with the universal accessory adaptor, it's compatible with most oscillating tool accessories.
The Tstak case is superb too, with enough room for a charger and a battery, solid and robust enough for everyday site work.Brilliant bit of kit, when I first got it I didn’t think I would use it much but now it’s one of my most used tools, I mainly use it for cutting timber and plasterboard, with the correct blades it works a treat, the dust extraction accessory is a must have! Have use it for cutting slots into plasterboard and wood for the electricians to fit plug boxes and light switches. There are a few cheaper kits than this, however many of those models might not meet the qualifications for Pro-level tools.
It comes with two 2 amp batteries, which aren't great batteries, but there are two of them and you can keep them rolling and you can obviously add to your system. The quick blade change is great even if it’ll snap the end of the blade off occasionally, and the led work light is surprisingly useful. It has more grunt than the corded versions I'd been using and a nice big trigger button makes it easy to use. I’ve only tested it briefly but it feels well balanced with the battery attached and is very responsive.
If you're looking to get good blades just get them if you're going to use a diamond blade or perhaps something for cutting metal as the cheap ones do blunt quick. I have used this multi tool for around four years now, I pack it for every job I do as it’s so useful. This is my go to tool, helps me out so much, would lose loads of hours if it wasn’t for my multi tool. Speed control is controlled via the trigger which is better than having a dial feature which is on some brands. Would recommend Dewalt, had mine for few years now, has never let me down and is still surprising me and what it can do.
The DCS355 oscillating multi-tool has a compact 300w motor which delivers 0-22,000 oscillations per minute, providing faster completion of the most demanding tasks. The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.
You can adjust the blade to get the angle right for pretty much any cut and can also use it for sanding etc. Really easy to use and pretty powerful for the size, it's does use the batteries pretty quick if using for a long time. The quick blade change arrangement is such a time saver, I have been used to a cheaper corded thing that I had to use an alan key every time to swop blades. The following are trademarks for one or more DEWALT power tools, accessories, anchors and concrete adhesives: The yellow and black color scheme; the “D”-shaped air intake grill; the array of pyramids on the handgrip; the kit box configuration; and the array of lozenge-shaped humps on the surface of the tool.
