The flours are pretty standard for gluten-free baking, the usual spread of grains, nuts, beans, seeds, and starches—just, you'll need all of them. I have already tried 10 full recipes ranging from the fudge to brownies, cakes, cookies, home made chocolate and bake free bars. I took a professional patisserie course while doing an apprenticeship in the pastry kitchen at The Lanesborough hotel in London. Cashew nuts are a really useful ingredient, especially for those who do not eat dairy, as they can be whizzed up to make silky milks and creams. We have a wide range of judging experience covering products, hotels and have judged, for example, for Great Taste Awards and Scottish Baker of the Year.

As an experimental cook I will certainly seek out chestnut and coconut flour because they sound like they might taste good, but I might leave the teff flour and non hydrogenated dairy-free butter for someone else to play with. This copy was provided to me free for review purposes, but I've already bought another copy to give as a birthday present to my sister. I notice that when I eat something I've made with wholefoods and unrefined sugars, it makes me feel a lot better than when I eat something made with refined sugar. This would make an excellent gift to someone struggling with their new regime or just for yourself to splash some wholesome cake recipes into your repertoire.

The ingredients, the combination of flavors, and the amount of work involved means most of the things in this book aren't an option for me. I really just wanted to know what was on the cover and thought perhaps I might pick up some information along the way. This is a beautiful book full of wonderful recipes for making desserts without refined sugar and dairy. S. I skimmed the recipes a bit but, due to the two items mentioned above, didn't find it worth giving this cookbook more than a quick skim.

I watched the first one on Wednesday where they were making lemon drizzle cake and then this was followed by Jaffa cakes.
