The heel-cup is quite shallow, so if you have a fairly prominent heelbone, you might get blisters on your heels in this boot. A solidly built, proudly South African, beautiful full-grain leather boot, made to tackle the roughest terrain. They are very high quality leather, full grain I believe, and are good for applications in uneven terrain.

I had worn boots that always push my toes together and end up being uncomfortable, plus super plush which I discovered gives me like knee pain after long day out. I worked in these boots an entire day in dry dusty conditions and they held up perfectly just dusted them off and got them ready for the next day. If you are looking for a rugged outdoor or general purpose boot, just get them, dont even think about it.

The boots were super stiff when I received them so I just wore them around the house for 5 or 6 days. Sure, modern synthetic or hybrid boots are lighter and more breathable, but a beautifully-made leather boot is unbeatable when it comes to aesthetics and durability. I crawl around on my concrete driveway repairing my truck, my wife’s truck and our travel trailer, scuffing all sides of these boots.I should mention that I believe if I had taken a more sedate approach doing short walks there would not have been blisters.

The leather and materials are much higher quality than most big name brands and the craftsmanship is excellent!Granted, that’s after nine months of solid work (including a freak blizzard and two castration sessions).
