There are also multiple pages where the lines of text overlap, making it *completely* impossible to read. It makes for a perfect gift and there are also DVD's and an audio CD available (read so well by David Suchet of Poirot fame).For example, at the end of the story where Moses comes down from the mountain with the 10 Commandments to see the people with the golden calf the book says "No matter how hard the people tried they could never keep God's Rules all the time. As with all children's bibles the stories have been chosen from the bible and therefore there is a lot missing - I find it frustating when teaching sunday school that often the story I want is not in any children's bible! I came across this bible when babysitting for a friend's child, and have now bought it for my own children and as a gift for others. Not only is each story as vividly illustrated as it is portrayed, but also each tale is telling one Big Story--the Story of Jesus. I really love this truly beautifully written way of retelling God's story for children and as a long standing christian and Sunday School teacher it has affected me greatly. Sharing the Gospel with The Jesus Storybook Bible has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. But all the stars and the mountains and oceans and galaxies and everything were nothing compared to how much God loved his children.
