What a beautiful tribute that is worthy of this stunning perfume. I struggle to write words about it, because they don't seem to do it justice or fully encapsulate all that it is. The most I can say is that for me it stands outside of time, like a visitor watching the past, present, and future roll by. This article is inspiring and makes me want to wear it and create my own art in its honor. Bella with a book and a vase of flowers, or Bella in Mourillon, from 1926,exudes softness, sweetness, and enjoyable silence… I own a version of the EDP from what I think is the 2010s, but I'm not sure, since their codes roll by decade. I wear it for the same reasons and purposes you do, which you described perfectly. I too, and thankful for Les Légendaires to continue on this and other Guerlain traditions (think Apres L'Ondee) that are compelling and timeless. Even though I know about the connection between L'Heure Bleue and the Impressionists, and see the perfect reflection of their painting in the fragrance, for me personally, the depth, warmth, and deep blue of it find a visible embodiment in the modernist paintings of Marc Chagall.

There is a ghost of chrysanthemum, bitter and dramatic. I know that matthiolas and chrysanthemums are not really in L'Heure Bleue... But for me, they are there; I smell them every time I wear this perfume. L'Heure Bleue was created as a fragrance that describes the beauty and pleasure of the "blue hour"; it admirably tells about the fading day and anticipation of the night's amusement. Its violets, irises, and even orange blossom are graciously melancholic due to a touch of heliotrope powder and lilac mist... But their melancholy is lighthearted.

There are fragrances that have a particularly short path from the bottle to the heart and have the strongest influence on the most subtle emotions, they touch your soul just like music and poetry do. There are not many of them, but I believe everyone can name a fragrance that not only pleases but excites them to the highest degree. Such a fragrance can delight, inspire, comfort, or relax – in any case, its effect goes beyond merely smelling good. For me, it is much more remarkable that I clearly smell night violet inL'Heure Bleue. By night violet, I mean matthiola (hesperis is also called "night violet"). I don't know what gives the effect of her presence, but the matthiola fragrance is unequivocally recognizable: it is cold and spicy but at the same time intoxicatingly liquor-sweet. True connoisseurs and collectors of vintages will probably disagree with me, but I consider Les Légendires Guerlain a true revival of great fragrances. L'Heure Bleue was one of the last breaths of La Belle Époque, a period in European history, art, and fashion that lasted between the 1870s and 1914 when the First World War broke out. Blue hour usually lasts about 20–96 minutes right after sunset and right before sunrise. Time of year, location, and air quality all have an impact on the exact timing of blue hour. [6] For instance in Egypt (every 21st of June), when sunset is at 7:59 PM: blue hour occurs from 7:59 PM to 9:35 PM. When sunrise is at 5:54 AM: blue hour occurs from 4:17 AM to 5:54 AM. Golden hour occurs from 5:54 AM to 6:28 AM and from 7:25 PM to 7:59 PM.

It is worth getting acquainted with this L'Heure Bleue version if you have not been familiar with it before - or if the meeting was unsuccessful.Carnation, once very much loved in perfumery and now rejected by many, blooms in L'Heure Bleue both as a fresh and hot flower and a burning, bitter spice. But there is more to L'Heure Bleue than the spiciness of the carnation and clove.

L'heure bleue est causée par un mode particulier de diffusion des ondes lumineuses, dit diffusion Rayleigh, qui détermine la couleur du ciel.L'Heure Bleue not only soothes the senses but also muffles all the real and emotional noises of the world. Of course, this is only an illusion, but it is very strong. When I want comfort and detachment, I know where to get it: in a bottle of L'Heure Bleue. These feelings are stronger and more important to me than physical comfort – although I also appreciate cuddly and cozy fragrances. But L'Heure Bleue, first, reaches the soul growing into its very depth, simultaneously wrapping me in a protective, comfortable cocoon. The new L'Heure Bleue Eau de Toilette, released in 2021, was a delightful discovery. It is pretty and sophisticated. It is less dense, powdery, fresher, dewier, and more transparent. Less anise and vanilla, more violets and irises. The bitter clove is not perceptible at all, but the carnation flower is there in all its glory. Delicate insinuating sweetness, the finest powder in a floral mist ... And mattiola! I smell it! Association C.R.I.S, « L’Heure bleue - David Clavel, - mise en scène David Clavel, - theatre-contemporain.net», sur www.theatre-contemporain.net (consulté le 2 octobre 2021) In general, the entire line of Les Légendaires de Guerlain is magnificent: one gets the feeling that classic fragrances have been dusted off and placed under a magnifying glass, which helps to see their beauty better.

In the silence and melancholy of L'Heure Bleue, many feel sadness and read the foreboding of all the troubles to come... But in 1912, no one expected the collapse of the world. The tragedy of the Titanic, which sank on the night of April 14-15, 1912, was also unexpected. Early autumn twilight, sharply fragrant and infinitely cozy, in the rustle of rain and falling leaves, in the bitter smell of autumn flowers and the sweetness of perfumes - it seems to me that almost all perfumes are especially beautiful and fully revealed in fall. L'Heure Bleue is a wonderfully gentle fragrance. Cloudy. Soothing. A perfect match of name and essence: L'Heure Bleu - "blue hour", "twilight" - in its soft melody, there is something of evening colors. The name is absolutely appropriate, it captures the essence of the Twilight Hour, much like L'Heure Blanche captures the hazy dreamlike state between the sleeping and waking hour. (I realize I'm one of the few who embrace the latter perfume as brilliant and worthy of pursuit.) Yes, L'Heure Bleue still smells old-fashioned. But what else is to be expected from a perfume that is 110 years old and not only bears the famous name but somewhat corresponds to the original version? But this is a charming, deep, soulful retro. It still evokes the sweetness of La Belle Époque. Besides the restful twilight of summer, I also feel in L'Heure Bleue the transparent twilight of spring – electrified, trembling, full of freshness; when the hassle of the day subsides, and it seems as if you can hear the buds burst and leaves start unfolding as the flowers are getting ready to bloom and smell at dawn.
