So, Darling Venom is divided into three (3) parts. Two (2) parts as far as I'm concerned, so these parts are the only parts that actually count: why did he keep giving hope to Charlotte if he had known beforehand that his decision wasn't going to change?

Even tho Kellan was not the main character he carried this book for me. I loved reading the little snippets from Darling Venom😭 the way he actually didn't hate Tate and wrote about him made me cry AGAIN in the ending😭😭

Quoting my darling twinsie, I have no morals, so don't be surprised if I'll tell you I didn't even mind when he took her virginity with his fingers during her ob-gyn exam - and made her come like crazy - and apparently I've been seeing the wrong doctors. Nevertheless, Darling Venom explored some very complicated relationships between siblings and parents. Charlie had the longest, most frustrating and painful journey with her sister. Tiny moments felt so revolutionary once they finally took their first steps towards reconciliation. Leah let Charlie pin her hair😭😭🥺. Although Keelan was there for only a little time in the book, he still was the most tolerable character.

I guess that part of this indifference is partly tied to the fact that I ended up not liking the main characters that much, after all, and even if I did, I'd still feel like something was missing. I honestly don’t know how to do this justice. Last year I read Devious Lies and in my review said it was one of my favorite books but than failed to put it at the top of my list. with that, I want to give a big props to the author for the beautiful note at the beginning of the book In the end just like in life things don’t always fall into place like puzzle pieces. Sometimes you need to trim edges or force something square into a round hole. But you make it work no matter what. Who cares that they have zero chemistry? Who cares if Minka hates his mysterious and hot neighbor that pushes her buttons every single chance that he gets? Who even cares that his neighbor stares at Minka like he is picturing her in his bed? Sometimes, I lay in bed, listening to my own heartbeats thudding against the mattress and willing my heart to stop.Hmm, that’s a no, too. I’m not in college anymore. My days of sharing space with drunken, shady roommates are long gone.❞ her suicidal thoughts whilst dark made sense and were so damn relatable i couldn't help but love this girl.
