Description

She spends her days reading comics about alien invasions, doodling UFOs and gazing at the stars through her old, battered telescope. It's the 1960's and space is a hot topic as the USA tries to copy their Russian rivals in the space race. It introduces us to a daredevil girl who is a science nerd and not afraid to stand up for herself or her friends. He also jabs a punch of humour on the state of society, government and politics which makes you double over with laughter.

I enjoyed the spaceboy my favourite bit was when Ruth sed to ant Dorothy don,t be a dork and the best bit was when they where in the space ship and Kevin sed the countdown and it was very funny when Yuri the dog bit Kevin,s Grampa in the bum and another funny bit when the president of USA hit the golf ball at the major majors back of his head and then hi was nocked out and then fell on all his batches on the floor then it was funny when I saw the president hi was ferry little The president and then there was a slave who was as taller then the president.Schock has built 25 rockets that have all crashed, but Ruth immediately realises that his brand-new rocket needs a pointy –not round– head. This really sounds like the movie "Chicken Run": damsel in distress, "flying" boy who to the rescue -but is he really flying?

We meet Ruth, a twelve-year old orphan who was sent to live on an ostrich farm with her terrible, crocodile-looking Aunt Dorothy who loathes her and makes her life miserable. However, when the soldier announces that they are flying to meet the President, the situation seems to be getting out of control. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). The humor is juxtaposed against themes of loneliness and rejection, creating a comedy with empathy and soul. It's not about the length of time it takes a child to finish a book, it's about consistency, and if a child reads frequently, daily, for about 10 minutes, that's all the difference it makes between developing reasoning skills, confidence, a great vocab and the hunger to learn more, to know more. Yuri Gagarin became a national hero and celebrity when he became the first human to journey into outer space in April 1961.
